| How can I purchase EFEI? |
Training and Licensing
EFEI is licensed for use by individual schools, groups of schools and entire school systems
for a nominal fee. FNI will be pleased to help you set up an EFEI process for your school or
jurisdiction, and can be contacted here. Typically this process involves an initial training
and customization workshop, where FNI staff work directly with your team and community
representatives to make the tool responsive to your local setting, and train local people in
its use. Fees are determined on a case-by-case basis. It is generally not cost-effective to
train for just one small school – we advise a region or cluster-based approach.
Launch of the fully-automated, web-based version of EFEI is anticipated in mid-2008, and
goodschooldesign.com will be its gateway. In the meantime, EFEI is available in a
simple-to-use Excel file format. Data collected in the Excel version will be easily migrated
once the new software is online.
